Ph.D. Candidate at MIT

I am a 5th year Ph.D. candidate at the Operations Research Center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology advised by Prof. Georgia Perakis , professor at MIT Sloan School of Management .

My current research focuses data driven optimization and analyitcs. I am interested in how to incorporate machine learning models and insights within operational optimization probelms. I have recently done work on optimizing over objective functions derived from random forests, with applications in property investment and legal analytics. I have also recently done work in collaboration with StubHub on estimating price sensitivity for heterogenous products in a revenue management setting.

I also have an interest dynamic transportation problems, with uncertainty about future customers. In particular I have colloborated with a maritime shipping company and an online healthcare delivery start up implement solutions to make intelligent routing decisions.

I have been a research intern at Amazon in the online advertising team in the summer of 2016, and have had experience as a consulting data scientist and before I started my Ph.D. I Received a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree from the Engineering Science department at the University of Auckland with specialization operations research and optimization.
